Floating Numbers Challenge is a free interactive learning game designed for children and adults of different abilities.
Players select floating number bubbles to answer questions involving number recognition, addition and subtraction.
Three difficulty levels allow learners to build confidence and develop their maths skills at a comfortable pace.
The game supports mouse, touchscreen and keyboard input. Players can also turn off animation, disable sounds and choose to play without a timer.

Start the game and select the correct number bubble.
How to Play Floating Numbers Challenge
- Choose Easy, Medium or Challenge difficulty.
- Select how many questions you want to answer.
- Choose a timer or No Timer.
- Press Start Floating Numbers.
- Read the maths question.
- Look at the floating number bubbles.
- Select the bubble showing the correct answer.
- Earn 10 points for each correct answer.
- Continue until all questions are completed.
Three Inclusive Maths Learning Levels
Easy - Number Explorer: Recognise and find numbers from 1 to 10. Ideal for early number learning.
Medium - Maths Adventurer: Practise addition and subtraction using numbers and answers up to 20.
Challenge - Ocean Maths: Solve more advanced addition and subtraction problems using numbers and answers up to 100.
Accessible Game Controls
- Use a mouse or touchscreen to select answers.
- Use Tab to move between answer buttons.
- Press Enter or Space to select an answer.
- Choose No Timer for relaxed learning.
- Turn floating animation on or off.
- Enable or disable sound effects.
- Incorrect answers do not reduce your score.
- Questions can be repeated without penalty.

Activities can be adapted for different mobility, communication and sensory needs.
Always provide appropriate supervision, accessible entry and exit, and individual support. Never require underwater retrieval or unsupported movement.
