Inclusive Stories and Learning Resources for Children
Inclusive Education NZ provides children's stories, audiobooks, flipbooks, printable PDFs and sensory learning resources designed to make disability, difference and inclusion a natural part of children's everyday learning.
Our resources are created for children, families, teachers, schools and inclusive organisations looking for positive, accessible ways to introduce disability, neurodiversity, friendship, empathy and belonging.
We believe children should grow up seeing disabled and non-disabled characters learning, playing, exploring and having adventures together.

Why Inclusive Stories Matter
Children learn about the world through the stories, pictures, conversations and experiences around them. When disability is absent from those everyday experiences, it can begin to feel unfamiliar.
Inclusive Education NZ aims to change that by creating stories where disabled characters are not always the subject of a lesson. Sometimes they are simply friends, explorers, problem-solvers or adventurers taking part in the story.
By introducing inclusive representation early, we can help children understand that people move, communicate, learn and experience the world in many different ways.
Learning in Different Ways
The same idea can be easier to understand when children have more than one way to experience it.
Read
Flipbooks and printable stories provide visual and written ways for children to explore inclusive characters and ideas.
Listen
Audiobooks give children another way to access stories and learning when listening works better than printed text.
Explore
Sensory resources help children understand their own experiences and appreciate that others may experience the same environment differently.
Resources for Teachers and Schools
Inclusive Education NZ resources can support classroom reading, literacy, disability awareness, sensory learning, wellbeing and conversations about friendship, accessibility and belonging.
