What happens in the first appointment?

We will gather information from you regarding your child’s developmental, family and school history, as well as information regarding any previous specialist support, diagnosis and/or intervention. We will want to learn about your child’s interests, strengths and key relationships. Then we will want to learn what you’re hoping to gain from our collaboration and what you and your child’s goals are. Everything is confidential between you and Inclusive Education Partners.

What ages of children do you serve?

We serve children ages 2 -14 years old, or early childhood through intermediate school.

Is our family information kept confidential?

We will not share any information with your child’s school or other professionals without your consent. The only exception to confidentiality is our duty to report suspected incidents of child abuse or neglect or compliance with a court ordered subpeona.

How long is each session and where will we meet?

Assessment and consultation sessions usually last between 50-70 minutes and can take place in your school or home in the Auckland area or at our office on the North Shore during weekday business hours. We are available to travel nationally for school consultations and professional development. Please email for more information and to book.

How much does it cost?

Part of our mission is to make support accessible and affordable for all families. The hourly rate for consultations to families and schools is $140/ hour. The hourly rate for an advocacy support service is $80/ hour. If you are in need of advocacy but unable to pay the full fee, a sliding scale is available. Workshop fees are determined at the time of scheduling. All services and fees will be explained during the initial phone contact and email.

What if we just need a one-off advocate for an important school meeting?

We will advocate for your child and their legal right to attend school full time and to access the resources that they need in order to be successful.

How do we register interest in a workshop?

Just contact Inclusive Education Partners to discuss your topic of interest and how we can help up-skill your team.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

There will be no charge for cancellations that occur at least 24 hours before the appointment time. 50% of the fee will be charged for appointments cancelled within 24 hours. 100% of the fee will be charged for no shows.

Should I approach you directly or talk to my school first?

There’s no fee for a quick phone chat. Feel free to email to set up a brief call to discuss options.
